On Monday, February 8th 2016, the Comanche County Commissioners’ Court met and discussed the current burn ban and hazardous weather conditions. As of February 9th, 2016, County Judge James R. Arthur has extended the burn ban for 90 days. Welding is allowed on the condition that a spotter is present at all times, and has on hand a method for fire suppression. Individual outdoor cooking is permitted in an enclosed barbecue pit. Violation of this order is a Class C Misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00.

****PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT*****

Due to current conditions, Comanche County Judge James R. Arthur has issued an EMERGENCY TOTAL BURN BAN effective IMMEDIATELY on FEBRUARY 1st, 2016 for all Comanche County for the next 7 days. Violation of this ordinance restricting any outdoor burning is a Class C Misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00. The Comanche County Commissioners’ Court will meet on February 8th, 2016 and consider an order restricting all outdoor burning.

 

City Council Meeting for December 28, 2015

There will be no City Council Meeting for December 28, 2015, due to a motion made on Dec. 11th.

Our next regular Council Meeting will be on January 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Room – 125 S Texas Street.

All meetings are Open to the Public and any Citizen that would like to attend may do so.
